The Buffalo Bills announced Friday that the team has released first-round draft pick Jake Heaps to Houston in exchange for second- and third-round picks.
The deal is for a total of $2.7 million, per the team’s release.
Heaps played in four games for the Bills last season before suffering a season-ending ankle injury.
He had played in two games for Buffalo the previous two seasons, including a game in 2014 with the Jets.
The Bills also released veteran defensive lineman Michael Oher, who signed a three-year, $6.25 million deal in January.
